In the video above, Genevieve is here with a delightful, child-friendly lunch for A Well Designed Life. She joins Stacie Billis from One Hungry Mama to make a winter bento box lunch that will delight youngsters while enticing them to eat a healthy meal.
With just a few ingredients they create the perfect bento lunch. Ingredients include two slices of bread, chives, a carrot, a cucumber, flaked coconut, a pear, a kiwi, pomegranate seeds, chocolate and white chocolate chips, a pretzel rod and a little bit of cream cheese.
Genevieve and Stacie make a simple cream cheese sandwich and use cookie cutters to create a snowflake. Placing it on a bed of coconut flakes and sprinkling the sandwich with pomegranate seeds, they make a pretty picture of winter. Next, these ladies cut the carrot and cucumber into squares and tie them up like gifts with chive ribbon. The pear is used to cut mitten shapes with another cookie cutter. Next they add kiwi in tree shapes for evergreens.
Finally, Genevieve and Stacie make a cut snow covered log with a momma owl and two kiddie owls with bread and cream cheese. Adding chocolate chips for the eyes and using melted white chocolate chips to create the snow and stick the owls to the log gives this lunch a wintery feel. A great lunch for hungry little ones!
