TOY REVIEW: Stomp Rocket Jr. Glow Kit!

Stomp Rocket Jr. Glow Kit

Spring is coming, and not a moment too soon. There’s some serious cabin fever setting in here. The worst thing is the notion that the kids have actually taken to enjoying staying indoors all the time. Fortunately, we have a fix for that. We’re bringing out the Stomp Rocket Jr. Glow Kit. This wild toy received the Top Toy of the Year award from Creative Child magazine and the iParenting Media Award for Excellent Product. There’s good reason for that, too. For example, kids use their own energy and stopping power to get this rocket airborne. The launch stand is set up in a clear outdoor area. Then connect the blast pad and 38-inch long hose, load one of the rockets, stomp or jump onto the launch pad and watch your rocket soar – up to 100 feet into the air.

This toy can be used both indoors and outdoors. The rockets are foam and won’t break anything they hit. The big fun, though, seems to be using it outside–especially at a park, where your child will soon have lots of new friends waiting for their turn. Between the stomping and racing around to retrieve the rocket, the toy gets your child moving. To add some variety, you can order (separately) parachutes and copters.

This is a great toy–advertised for children from 3 to 8–but watch the adults have fun too. There is really no assembly other than attaching the hose. There are no batteries, and no little pieces to get lost. It really is just a toy to have some good old-fashioned fun.
