Board Games
Board games are a great go to for an indoor activity. Most board games can have a up to six people to play all together. The best games to play are the classic board games such as Scrabble, Catch Phrase and Monopoly for the older crowd. For the younger group there is Trouble, Chutes and Ladders, Sorry and Clue. If you have a ton of these games in the closet, gather them up and call up a group of family members or friends to have a tournament.

Yoga
Whether it is just you at home or you and your toddler, yoga is an indoor activity that can relax you, relieve you of stress and just make you feel good the rest of the day. There are many different types of yoga that you can choose from as a beginner. Grab some soothing music, a mat and start your day off with a little yoga.

Bake
If you don’t mind getting the kitchen a little warm for some goodies, then this would be the time to try out a new dessert that you’ve been wanting to try or just come up with something creative. The whole family can get their hands a little messy in baking cookies, cake or other treats.

Online games, Apps or Television
Of course it’s best to unplug whenever you can and not be stuck on electronics the entire day, yet having a time limit on how long your family is on them can make a difference. When you have run out of ideas of what to do indoors, putting in a favorite movie or interesting document, adding a few educational apps for kids to reinforce their school learning or allowing them to have some free time with a favorite game for themselves to play. If you are watching a documentary or other education film, everyone can discuss what they have learned or how they felt about it, a good way for everyone to express their opinion.

Read a Book
You can’t go wrong with a book because you can enter into a whole other world and let your imagination run. Everyone can take an hour out of their day, whether together or separately, and curl up with a good book. You can read to each other or read alone in your favorite corner.

When the day is sunny and beautiful, don’t forget that there are also a ton of outdoor activities that you can enjoy.
