If you don’t love baby animals, you probably don’t have a soul. Well, that might a bit of an exaggeration, but, come on, we’re biologically wired to think they’re cute because of their eye-to-body ratio. (That’s not a joke, by the way.) And this week was a special one in terms of baby animals: Lun Lun, a 15-year-old panda, gave birth to twins at Zoo Atlanta on Monday. They’re actually the first giant panda twins to be born in the United States since 1987, so it’s quite a big deal. Right now, they don’t really look like pandas. First of all, they’re pink. Second of all, they can fit in the palm of your hand. And, lastly, they don’t really have eyes. But, hey, they’re on the road to being cuter every day.
So, in order to celebrate this momentous occasion — and because we’re selfish and want to look at pictures of baby animals all day — we’re giving you the link to one of the greatest websites on the Internet: ZooBorns.com. The concept is quite simple: When a baby animal is born, they post pictures and a short description on the site. The rest of the world shrieks in delight. Seriously, some of these animals are almost too adorable for their own good. Here’s a list of some of our favorites, but don’t forget to head to the site to see for yourself. They have every animal you can think of, from anteaters to camels to vultures.
